Our goal was simple: build a better leaf spring for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans than what was currently available. With Deaver’s advanced leaf pack design and the use of premium 5160 USA-made spring steel, this collaboration was an easy choice.
The result is a high-performance Sprinter leaf spring designed for improved ride quality, increased suspension travel, and enhanced load support. The 5160 steel construction, combined with proper heat treatment, delivers excellent memory characteristics to help resist spring warping, sagging, and flattening over time.
These Sprinter leaf springs feature a deeper arch design, eliminating the need for an axle block while improving overall suspension geometry. A military wrap design adds strength, safety, and durability while also allowing for more travel.
For Sprinter 3500 applications, the Deaver Heavy Leaf Spring package includes custom-designed high-performance nylon bushing washers. These washers help keep the bushings properly seated as the heavy-duty spring flexes under load, supporting vans in weight ranges up to 12,500 lbs GVW.
On Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 vans, we also designed an extended rear shackle to provide additional suspension travel and improved ride comfort. Every part of this system was thoughtfully developed to create a better-performing, more refined suspension package for serious van owners. It is a well-engineered solution built for comfort, strength, and capability.
